Red snapper fishing off northeast Florida was severely curtailed by federal regulations in 2010. But other members of the snapper family can still be targeted. These include Ver- million, Lane, Mangrove and Mutton.
St. Augustine Inlet is home to the Florida State Record Red Grouper at 42 pounds, 4 ounces.
